The 14-day Annapurna Base Camp trek is specifically tailored so that you whole-heartedly enjoy the mountain landscape and the culture of the people here. After you land in Kathmandu, a day is separated for you to enjoy the cultural landmarks of Kathmandu city. Then, you will leave Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara. You get the first glimpse of Annapurna (8091m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) from Pokhara. Next, you head to Nayapul where the trek officially starts. You trek along with the rhododendron forests and stone steps to pass Ulleri and head to Ghorepani. Here, you will hike to Poonhill for a great sunrise view over the mountains in Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range along with the Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m) and Lamjung Himal (6983m). The trek then heads northeast towards Chhomrong and follows the Modi River to pass Dovan and Himalaya. En route to the Annapurna Base Camp, you cross Machhapuchhre Base Camp as well. At the ABC, trekkers can revel in the astonishing beauty of the Annapurna I (8091m) along with many other majestic Himalayas. The next morning, you start your trek back to Pokhara passing Bamboo and reach Jhinu Danda. Here, you can rest at the natural hot springs and alleviate the pain and strain from your body. From here, you trek south to Nayapul and head back to Pokhara. Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are the best seasons to enjoy the beauty of the Annapurna region to the fullest.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m) Welcome Dinner

    Today, you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. At the airport, our company’s representative will heartily welcome you to the land of the Himalayas. You then head to the designated hotel where you meet the staff and guides on this trip.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

    After breakfast, you will participate in a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu city. You visit the major touristic areas like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Temple. These sites have great cultural and religious significance and are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After the sightseeing is over, you can consult with the guides and buy or rent necessary items for the trek at Thamel.

  • Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)| 6-7 Hrs

    After an early breakfast, you head to Pokhara via Prithvi Highway, which is filled with beautiful views of hills, rural lifestyle, agricultural fields, and rivers. Upon reaching the hotel and refreshing, you can head out for a stroll around Pokhara city or go boating in Phewa Lake. You can spend the rest of the day strolling around the Lakeside. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

  • Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1070m)|1.5 Hrs and trek to Ulleri (1960m)|3-4 Hrs

    After breakfast, you depart from your hotel and drive to Nayapul. After reaching there and taking rest for a while, you head to your next destination, Ulleri. The trail to Ulleri is uphill and, for most of the way, the ascent is gradual. En route, you can enjoy the scenic views of the hills and lush vegetation. Overnight stay in Ulleri.

  • Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2880m) |5-6 Hrs

    Leaving Ulleri, you head for Ghorepani. The trail to this destination is uphill and the surrounding forest is filled with rhododendron. You will walk through what is supposedly the biggest rhododendron forest in the region. So, enjoy the view of rhododendrons with Annapurna Range as its background. Ghorepani is a Gurung village inhabited by Magar and Gurung people and is a popular rest stop on the ABC Trek. Overnight stay in Ghorepani.

     

  • Day 06: Early morning Poonhill Hike for Sunrise & Trek to Tadapani (2630 m)| 6-7 hrs. 

    At dawn, you head for Poonhill to enjoy the sunrise. The short hike is an easy one accompanied by the views of the Himalayas in the Annapurna range. The spectacular view of Annapurna (8091m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), and Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (7061m) along with the Annapurna range as the first rays of the sun strike the mountain will amaze you. Afterward, you head back to Ghorepani, have breakfast and continue your uphill trek to Tadapani. Overnight stay in Tadapani.

  • Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong (2170m) | 5-6 hrs.

    After breakfast, you head for Chhomrong, which is the last settlement area of the Gurung community you stay before reaching the base camp. The trail first goes downhill and when you reach Kimrong Khola, it goes uphill. Enjoy the scenic view of the river en route and you will reach Chhomrong before nightfall. Overnight stay in Chhomrong.

  • Day 08: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2920 m) | 6-7 hrs.

    Today, you head to your next destination, Himalaya Hotel. You descend to Chhomrong Khola and then the trail goes uphill again. The trail goes downhill again and takes you to a gorge called Dovan. A short walk from there and you reach the Hotel Himalaya. Overnight stay in Hotel Himalaya.

  • Day 09: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) | 6-7 hrs.

    The trail’s first stop is Deurali (3230m) from where you cross a ridge and climb to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). This is yet another magnificent viewpoint to enjoy the sublime Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m) and numerous other mountains in the Annapurna range. From there on, the trek to the final destination is 2 hours long. Once you reach Annapurna Base Camp, you can enjoy the fantastic view of Annapurna and its range. The snow-clad peaks will surround you as you prepare to spend the night amid the Himalayas in the heart of the Annapurna region. Overnight stay in camp.

  • Day 10: Trek to Bamboo (2310m) | 6-7 hrs.

    Leaving the base camp after an early sunrise view over Annapurna Range, you pack up and start walking downhill towards Bamboo village. The trail goes along the banks of Modi Khola and the entire way you can enjoy the scenic view of mountains and the river. You can enjoy the unique culture of Bamboo once you reach there. Overnight stay in Bamboo. 

  • Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Danda/Hot Spring (1780m) | 5-6 hrs.

    The next destination is Jhinu Danda, which is famous for its natural hot springs. You start the trek after breakfast. You pass by Kuldighar and continue along with Sinuwa and Chhomrong villages. After Chhomrong, the downhill trail leads to Jhinu village where you stay overnight. A nice bath in the hot springs is the best solution to relax your tired body.

  • Day 12: Trek to Nayapul (1070m) and Drive back to Pokhara (820m) |5-6 hrs.

    After a relaxing night at Jhinu Danda, it’s time to head back to Pokhara. You start the day with a short trek to Nayapul. After reaching there, you rest for a while and drive back to Pokhara. You can explore other famous areas of Pokhara once you get settled in at your hotel. Otherwise, you can also choose to rest and just relax around Lakeside. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

  • Day 13: Travel back to Kathmandu (1300m) | 6-7 Hrs

    Finally, it’s time to head back to Kathmandu after fully basking in the glorious mountain terrain sheltered by the Annapurna ranges. You head back to Kathmandu following the same route from Pokhara. You can do some last-minute shopping or explore the streets of Kathmandu once you reach Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu. 

  • Day 14: Final departure
