Background

Kathmandu valley is a historic city, rich with Newari architectures, traditions, and heritages alongside its modernity. Kathmandu is also known as the city of temples and is the home of Newar culture. During the Kathmandu Valley Tour with Dhulikhel Tour, you will visit the UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu and even make way towards Dhulikhel. Located 30 km east of the valley, Dhulikhel is famous for its sunrise and sunset view over the Himalayas. All in all, the Kathmandu Valley Tour with Dhulikhel Tour offers a blend of authentic culture and surreal natural display.

 

Your tour will be of 6 days in total, including your arrival and departure. The tour begins from Kathmandu and the first destination is Kathmandu Durbar Square. Built during the Malla Dynasty, it is charming square with museum, statues, and temples. From there, you head to Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath.  Swayambhunath and Boudhanath are popular Buddhist sites that have great significance to the Buddhist population around the world. Pashupatinath is one of the holiest temples for Hindus that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. On the third day, you will visit Patan and Bhaktapur. You get to know and learn about the cultures and traditions of Newari people here. The fourth day, you will drive to Dhulikhel and do some sightseeing in Dhulikhel. The next day, you watch the sunrise from Dhulikhel hill station. The scenic vista even incorporates mountains in Langtang, Ganesh, and Gaurishankar ranges. After having breakfast, you return to Kathmandu and visit the Kailash Nath Mahadev statue en route. The tour ends in Kathmandu with your departure.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    You will arrive at Kathmandu and will be warmly greeted by our staff members. You will be taken to your hotel. Then, after you get refreshed and have snacks, you will meet your guide for the tour. The rest of the day can be spent preparing for the tour, walking around the nearby areas, or simply taking a rest. Night stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

    After breakfast, you will head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square. Here, you visit the museum, Taleju Temple, Kumari Bahal, Shwet Bhairab, and Kal Bhairab. Then, you head to Swayambhunath. Also known as the monkey temple, it is a hilltop stupa which also offers a wide view of the Kathmandu Valley. Afterward, you head towards Pashupatinath temple, one of the holiest temples for Hindu. Next is Boudhanath Stupa, a Buddhist pilgrimage site and the largest stupa in Nepal. Lastly, you head to Garden of Dreams in Thamel before returning to the hotel. 

  • Day 03: Patan/Bhaktapur Sightseeing

    The third day is all about visiting Patan and Bhaktapur districts. You visit Patan Durbar Square, Patan Museum, Krishna Mandir, and Golden Temple where you see Newari architecture and the handiworks reflected. Then, you drive to Bhaktapur to visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, 55 window palace, Naytapola Temple, and Bhaktapur Museum. The exceptional thing on the tour is that you can also visit the pottery square in Bhaktapur. Night stay in Kathmandu.  

  • Day 04: Drive to Dhulikhel and Dhulikhel Sightseeing

    On the fourth day, you will head towards Dhulikhel. You will have lunch and then visit the old town of Dhulikhel. After you finish exploring the small town, you will hike up to the top of the hill. There is said to be 1000 steps up to the top of the hill, where a Kali Temple is located. Here, you get a distant view of Ganesh and Langtang Mountain Range. Night stay in Dhulikhel.

  • Day 05: Back to Kathmandu and free day |Farewell Dinner

    You start your day with the view of sunrise from the hilltop early in the morning. On a clear day, you get a great view of the rising sun over the mountains in Langtang, Jugal, Ganesh, and Gaurishankar ranges. After breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, you’ll stop at Sanga where the Kailash Nath Mahadev statue is situated. It is said to be the tallest Mahadev statue in the world (143 ft). There will be a farewell dinner for you in the hotel in the evening organized by our company. Night stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 06: Departure

    Your Kathmandu Valley with Dhulikhel Tour has come to an end. You will be dropped to Tribhuvan International Airport by our staff after breakfast. We bid you farewell with the hopes to cross path with you again in the future.
