We start our tour as we hit the road from Kathmandu heading towards Pokhara. Once you arrive in Pokhara in the evening, you will have some time to explore the vibrant lake city before riding away the next morning. The next stop is Kalopani as we ride along the dirt roads. On the third day, you will drive from Kalopani to Muktinath. The road to Muktinath is comparatively better. We ride through the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki Gorge, while also enjoying the traditional culture of the local community. The view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges will offer mesmerizing scenery during the ride to Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred temple which is believed to be the center for meditation where one can attain “Mukti” or “Nirvana”. It is believed that your sins are washed away if you take a bath in Muktinath. For that, they have 108 taps, named “Mukti Dhara” and a “Kunda”. Afterward, you will ride to Marpha, a town famous in Mustang for apples and cider. Leaving Marpha, you will ride down towards Pokhara stopping at Tatopani on the way to enjoy the natural hot spring there. On the seventh day, you will ride back to Kathmandu from Pokhara and bring the motorcycle tour to an end.

  • Day 1: Ride to Pokhara from Kathmandu (200km)

    Today, we ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara following the Mugling Highway. The highway has many twists and turns but the road is black-topped and smooth. You get a glimpse of lush green hills and rural lifestyle as you ride along the Trishuli River. We reach Pokhara in the evening after about 6 hours of riding. You can take a walk around the Lakeside near the Phewa Lake once you freshen up. The city is a hot spot for tourists so, there are much to do and see here. 

  • Day 2: Ride to Kalopani (120km)

    Leaving the vibrant city of Pokhara, we head towards Kalopani. The first part of the road until Beni is decent and takes around three hours. From there, the route goes through graveled/dirt road. We ride along the bank of Kali Gandaki River enjoying the open, wide view of the deserted landscape to Kalopani. From Kalopani, we can get some amazing view of Annapurna I (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), and Tukuche (6920m).

  • Day 3: Ride to Muktinath (70km)

    This is the day when we head to our main destination, Muktinath, continuing along Kali Gandaki River. It is at an altitude of 3760m and, every year, thousands of pilgrims and tourists make the trip here. From Kalopani, you will ride through a dirt road and pass through numerous ethnic villages on the way. You will reach Muktinath in the evening enjoying the views of the Himalayas and the changing landscape from lush vegetation to rough terrain, and passing Kali Gandaki Gorge. 

  • Day 4: Visit Muktinath Temple – Ride to Marpha (22km)

    You will visit the temple in the morning and head to Marpha afterward. Muktinath is a holy temple, which is believed to be the place where one finds “Mukti” (enlightenment) in Hindu mythology. It is believed that all your sins are washed away if you bath here. The 108 taps near the temple are said to cleanse from all sins and bring salvation to anyone who bathes in the water. From Muktinath, we ride back to the village of Marpha. Here, you can enjoy the apple products including Marpha- traditional apple-derived alcohol.

  • Day 5: Explore Marpha – Ride to Tatopani (35km)

    Marpha is an old and picturesque village in Mustang valley. Famous for its apples and apple products, Marpha is home to the hardworking Thakali people. It is an architectural beauty as well since traditional houses and heritages are spread across the village. We’ll our breakfast early in the morning and take a walk around the village. After exploring the village, we ride down to Tatopani. Famous for natural hot-springs, Tatopani will take your fatigue away as you enjoy the warm water. Overnight stay in Tatopani.

  • Day 6: Ride to Pokhara (91km)

    After a relaxing time in Tatopani, next day we ride from Tatopani to Pokhara. We pass through the villages of Beni, Galeshwor, Ranipauwa, and many others on the way. These small villages are vibrant and colorful with small markets. The first section of the ride until Beni goes through a rough, dirt road and is bumpy. The last section till Pokhara continues along the paved road. It is a 6-7 hours’ drive from Tatopani to Pokhara.

  • Day 7: Ride to Kathmandu (200km)

    On the final day, we head back through the Mugling- Naubise highway to Kathmandu enjoying the view of forests, villages, hills, and rivers. As you ride away from Pokhara, you will get the last glimpse of Annapurna range and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). Though the distance is quite long, the ride back will be pretty smooth. Once you arrive in Kathmandu your trip comes to an end.
