The beautiful sights of glistening mountains and the famous temple of Changunarayan are the main attractions of this hike.

The trip starts at Kathmandu from where you will take a short drive to Nagarkot. The hike kicks off from the hills of Nagarkot, a beautiful viewpoint at the height of 2175m. The sceneries from the view tower consist of lush forests and an incredible array of surrounding Himalayas. After enjoying the sights, you begin the hike. On the hike, you come across the marvelous sight of the diverse geography of Nepal ranging from the Himalayan peaks along with the expanse of green hills to fertile plains. The hiking trail goes through forested parts as you continue west. You will walk through Tamang villages with traditional thatched roof houses and a rich culture that is still engraved in the people. After about 4 hours of hike, you will arrive at the Changunarayan Temple. It is one of the oldest pagoda style temples of Nepal and is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple showcases a sophisticated traditional art style along with the statue of the Lord Vishnu. The best season to hike on this trail is the spring (March-May) or autumn (September- November) where the climate is dry and warm.
