Background
Kathmandu, once famously known as the “Shangri-La” is a mystic valley where one gets a feeling of traveling back in time. The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, is a geographically compelling city with a diverse culture and lifestyle. You can describe it as a living museum, and expect to be amazed in every part of the city. Kathmandu offers plenty of sites listed in the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO along with many options for a natural treat around Kathmandu. The hills near Kathmandu offer plenty of hiking options through the jungle. The views are amazing and the lifestyle is very different from Kathmandu. This 9 days trip spreads through many districts and will give you a thorough idea of the culture found in Nepal.

Our journey starts as you arrive in Kathmandu. Representatives from our company will pick you up at the airport and drop you to your hotel. The next day, we begin our trek by driving to Sundarijal, just a little outside Kathmandu. Sundarijal is one of the entry points for the Shivapuri National Park. Sundarijal is the place where the major water supply of Kathmandu comes from. We start our trek from Sundarijal and end it at Chisapani for the first day. We will be trekking within the Shivapuri National Park this day. Next day, we follow the trail from Chisapani to Nagarkot and Bhaktapur. The morning sun at Nagarkot provides amazing views of mountains like Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Gaurishankar. Similarly, we trek to Dhulikhel by following the trails through forest and villages. From here, our other destination is the serene gumba called Namobuddha. It is a monastery with very high value in the Buddhist community. Following the Manjushree trail, we trek from Namobuddha to Panauti. This ancient settlement is filled with Newari people. Spend a night here and then proceed to Lakuri Bhanjyang. Here, we conclude our trek and drive back to Kathmandu through Lamatar.
