Background

Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour is a challenging but adventurous tour which takes you to the world’s highest lake, Tilicho Lake. This tour is a perfect fit to explore the rough terrain and beauty of Manang for any motorcycle or travel enthusiast. The challenging part of the tour is the off-road trails that go through dirt roads, with many twists and turns and challenging tracks. The cultural glory of the Manang and Khangsar villages in the backdrop of the Annapurna Himalayas offers mesmerizing scenery.

The 11-day Kathmandu Manang Motorcycle Tour begins after your arrival in Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you ride along Trishuli River passing Mugling on the way to arrive at Besisahar. Besisahar is the starting point on this tour as well as on the Annapurna Circuit Trek. You head to Chame the next day where the roads are very tricky and narrow on the way. Chame is a popular stop for adventurers as there are many stores and repair centers for bikes. The next day, you’ll head to Manang valley riding through many Tibetan-influenced villages. From Manang, you start your ride to Tilicho Base Camp where you leave your motorbikes behind and start walking uphill to reach Tilicho Lake. You get an amazing view of the lake surrounded by the mountains in Nilgiri, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri ranges along with the Mt. Tilicho (7134m). After exploring around the lake area, you will head down to base camp and head back to Khangsar. You will then ride back to Kathmandu staying at two stops Timang and Besisahar. The best time to go on this tour is anytime except monsoon. The route is off-road and the roads can be blocked due to landslide during the monsoon season.
