Overview

Ruby Valley Trek is a newly opened trekking trail in the Ganesh Himal region. Ruby Valley Trek gets its name from the fact that there are huge deposits of gemstones called Ruby. This short yet eccentric trek takes you along the Ganesh Himal region which later blends with Manaslu Conservation Area and Langtang National Park. The Ruby valley trek gains notoriety mostly because it not only explores natural landmarks but a plethora of cultural traits too which include the people of Gurung and Tamang community. With a blend of culture and nature, we don’t see any reasons as to why you should not take this trek?

Our trek starts as you arrive in Kathmandu. Our representatives will pick you up at the airport and drop you at your hotel. Our trek cordially commences by driving to a village called Sybrubensi in Rasuwa. 7-8 hours of the ride through the hills of Kathmandu, Nuwakot, and Rasuwa is pleasant with views of rivers, villages and small beautiful green hills. After our stay in Sybrubensi, we trek to the remote Gatlang village. This village is a small part of another famous trail: Tamang Heritage Trail. Following day, we trek to Somdang. Somdang is a village that connects Rasuwa with the Dhading district. The next day we pass through the beautiful pass at Pansang-La which sits at the height of 3842m. This pass has some great views which include Ganesh Himal and Gaurishankar. Tipling is our stop for the night. We eventually trek to Shertung by walking along the banks of the Adha Khola. Shamanic practices are a big part of the culture here in this region. Hot springs add a relaxing break on this beautiful journey. From the hot spring, we trek down to Chalise Gaun. Spend some time at Mani Danda and finally walk down to the Jharlang village. The view from Jharlang is simply panoramic. Following the trail up and down through the villages like Khaniyabas and Megang Dada, we end our trek in Trishuli Bazaar of Nuwakot.

We at Miteri Nepal, have been organizing treks to the Ruby Valley and other places in Nepal since the last decade. Our experienced trek guides will brief you completely during the trek and ensure you have a pleasant tour. Not only do we offer unbeatable rates, but we provide unmatched services as well.
