The admirers of this heavenly valley are surrounded by towering mountains, mainly, Langtang Lirung (7234m), have described this place as one of the best valleys in the world. Besides spectacular mountain views, Langtang also has a lot of diversity in wildlife and vegetation. If you wish to drown in the allure of snow-laden mountains and prevalent Tamang culture and traditions, then the Langtang valley trek is the road you must choose.
This amazing trek starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Our representatives will receive you at the airport and guide you to your hotel. In the evening, our guide will introduce you to the team and we enjoy the welcome dinner together. The following day, our well-experienced tour guide will guide you for a sightseeing tour to Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, and the Swayambhunath Stupa. From here, we head to Sybrubensi; the starting point of the trek. The next day, we begin our trek by following the bluish Langtang River flowing through the lusty green forests of the Langtang National Park. We pass through many teahouses and hotels on the way until we arrive at the Langtang village. Langtang village is a beautiful village with great views of Mt. Langtang-Lirung alongside colorful hotels and lodges that makes this valley picturesque. We move forward to Kyanjin Gompa: the last human settlement in the valley of Langtang. Here, lies a 400-year-old Gumba which has major importance to the locals residing here. Tserko Ri is another famous viewpoint that offers delightful 360º view of many mountains including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh, Tibetan range and many more. You can also enjoy the tasty Italian coffee in Kyanjin Gompa. That’s quite an experience, enjoying coffee at the altitude of 3840m. The Tamang people living here are known for their hospitality. After visiting the Kyanjin Gompa, we make our way back to Lama Hotel, then to Sybrubensi and ultimately to Kathmandu where this 11-day journey will end.

You start the tour with an early morning visit to Swayambhunath temple. Since it is located on the summit of a hill, the view is a sight to behold. Popularly known as Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath is a place of great value in the Buddhist community. After that, we head to Boudhanath. It sits in a popular locality called Boudha. You can feel a great sense of peace and serenity here. Surrounded by good restaurants and cafe, Boudhanath is a perfect place for tourists. From here, we head to the Pashupatinath Temple; A Hindu temple residing on the banks of Bagmati river. Lastly, we visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square which sits at the heart of Kathmandu, Basantapur. This is the royal palace of the Malla and Shah Kings during their rule. The temples and palaces depict the glorious Nepali history. Today, we will drive from Kathmandu. Follow the Prithivi highway with the Trishuli River accompanying your every step. We admire the green hills and amazing scenery along the way. The way to Sybrubensi is comfortable for the first few hours and then gets bumpy later. Sybrubensi is a small village which is the starting point for many treks within the Langtang Conservation Area. It is often called the gateway of Langtang region. There are small lodges and teahouses here in which you can stay. Overnight in Sybrubensi.
Today, we will commence our trekking. On this day, we cross some suspension bridges and pass through many small villages with few hotels. We walk by the bank of the beautiful bluish Langtang River and pass through lush dense forests of pines and rhododendrons. Be ready to encounter some wildlife on the trail. The trail moves gradually uphill hence the walk is easy. The road allows us to visit the nearby Gompa, which is dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. On this day, we enter the beautiful Langtang valley. As we start our trek, we pass through forests, villages, grasslands, and meadows. The open sky view with lusty green meadows will surely please your heart and soul. Before arriving at Langtang, we are greeted by the lush meadows of Ghoda Tabela. It also serves the purpose of loading and unloading baggage on horses as there are no solid roads here. A short walk ahead lies the Langtang village, which was greatly affected by the 2015 earthquake. But, Langtang has recovered well and is slowly coming back to life. The village is filled with Tibetan and Tamang people that rely on barley, potato, and buckwheat. Overnight in Langtang village.
We start our trek after having breakfast in Langtang. We will gradually climb uphill to reach Kyanjin Gompa. This is the most revered Buddhist gompa in the Langtang region. It is an easy walk from Langtang to Kyanjin gompa, and the trail is filled with beautiful flowers all. The village of Kyanjin gompa gets its name from the 400 years old Gumba sitting on the lap of giant Langtang- Lirung peak. Besides, a long-range of the snowcapped mountain is visible from Kyanjin gompa as well. This Gompa is home to many practicing and veteran Buddhist monks. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
Today we shall rest a bit and then explore the premises around Kyangin Gompa. The majestic mountains, the grasslands with horses and yaks grazing, and the rich culture of Tamang people are simply amazing. You will also hike to the vantage point at Tserko Ri. The view from here is breath-taking and will surely leave you in awe. Long-range of Tibetan mountains, Langtang-Lirung, Ganesh and many more are visible from here. We now start descending from this day. We slowly descend the village of Langtang and eventually to Lama Hotel: which is our stop for the night. The trek is easy as we are mostly descending through forests and villages. As we walk on the banks of the Langtang River, we finally arrive at Lama Hotel. Be sure to rest adequately here. On this day, we retrace our steps back to Sybrubensi by passing through the same trail. It mostly involves descending and is easy. You can enjoy the things you missed on the way back. Upon arriving in Sybrubensi, be sure to shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Sybrubensi.
We shall head back to Kathmandu from Sybrubensi. We need to retrace the same path that we previously used that is the Prithivi Highway. The drive takes about 7 hours and provides amazing glimpses of the Trishuli River and green hills. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will head to your hotel and the company will host you a farewell dinner too. Overnight in Kathmandu.
