Itinerary

Day 01

We enjoy an early morning drive through typical Nepalese rural landscapes (Approx. 8 hours) from Kathmandu to Kyirong (175 km). After completing immigration and custom formalities we drive uphill to Kyirong. This is a Tibetan border town. The Tibetan guide will meet the group on arrival at the check post and we drive on further road climbs and climb up to Kyirong for an overnight. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 02

This is a day drive to the highest plateau in the world with typical rural landscapes offering the utter feeling of being on the roof of the world as we cross over the 5,050 meters LALUNGA pass, from where you can view the breath-taking mountain range of Mt. Cho Oyu at (8,201m) Mt. Shishapangma (8,012m) dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau (these views are only possible if weather permits). One can also get a magnificent view of Mt. Everest at (8,848m) from Shegar. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03

Today, after having your breakfast, we drive to second largest city of Tibet. To reach Shigatse with its huge Thangka wall which is clearly visible from the north side of the road. Our scenic drive through the highest point of Gyatchu La pass at (5,220m) brings us en-route to Lhasa via Shegar. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04

After breakfast we enjoy morning sightseeing of the most important Panchen Lama’s Tashilunpo Monastery, and then explore the other several monasteries inside the huge compound. Once we complete our excursion of the Shigatse Town. And then drive through Tibet’s biggest Agricultural fields to Gyantse and visit the Khumbum Stupa and Phalkot Monastery. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05

After having your delicious breakfast you will continue drive towards Lhasa (the Land of God) you will get opportunity to observe stunning view of Yandrok Lake (Blue Lake) which is one of the longest lake in the Tibet. Similar you will cross 2 passes Karola (5039m) & Kambala (4794m) while you driving to the Lhasa city. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06

Today we enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour in Lhasa, visiting the magnificent Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama. We then explore the sacred Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet, followed by a walk around the lively Barkhor Bazaar, a vibrant local market encircling the temple where pilgrims and traders gather. This day offers a deep insight into Tibetan culture, religion, and daily life. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07

After breakfast, we continue our exploration of Lhasa with visits to two of the most important monasteries in Tibet. We first visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in the world and an important center of learning. Later, we proceed to Sera Monastery, renowned for its lively monk debate sessions, where monks engage in philosophical discussions following ancient traditions. Overnight stay at hotel.

Today your tour is finished and fly out from Lhasa to Kathmandu or any other city of mainland China, we can manage the air on train tickets for you in advance.

We make an early drive to Gonggar airport for our departure flight to Kathmandu or to your onward destination.
