The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organized by Miteri Nepal Trekking is a deeply enriching spiritual journey that blends sacred pilgrimage, cultural exploration, and high-altitude Himalayan adventure. Beginning in Kathmandu, the journey allows pilgrims to immerse themselves in Nepal’s profound religious heritage through visits to revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha, and Swayambhunath Stupa. Comprehensive briefings, guided sightseeing, and carefully planned logistics ensure that participants are well-prepared—physically, mentally, and spiritually—before proceeding toward the remote trans-Himalayan regions. The gradual transition from Kathmandu to Tibet via the Kodari border is thoughtfully designed to support acclimatization while offering spectacular views and a smooth cross-border experience under the guidance of experienced Nepalese and Tibetan teams.
As the journey advances across the vast Tibetan plateau, pilgrims witness breathtaking landscapes marked by snow-clad peaks, expansive plains, and sacred rivers. Key acclimatization stops at Nyalam and Saga help participants adjust safely to increasing altitudes. The first divine glimpse of Lake Mansarovar, revered across Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Bon traditions, is a highlight of the yatra. Time spent at Chiu Gompa and along the serene shores of the lake allows pilgrims to engage in rituals, meditation, and reflection in an atmosphere of profound spiritual energy. The onward journey to Darchen, the base of Mount Kailash, builds anticipation as the majestic, symmetrical peak—believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva—comes into full view, leaving a lasting impression on every pilgrim.
