Background
The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, is a modern city with a diverse culture and lifestyle. It is often described as a living museum and the city of temples. Expect yourself to be amazed by the art, culture, diversity, temples, and stupas scattered around the city. Temples and Stupas in and around every corner gives a feeling of uplifted spiritual energy. The Kathmandu Valley Tour will take you to all UNESCO World Heritage Sites with an amazing sunrise view from Nagarkot.
Your 5-day tour starts as you land in Kathmandu. On the second day, our well-experienced tour guide will guide you during a sightseeing tour to major sites in Kathmandu district. We start with the monkey temple, Swayambhunath. It is situated at a hilltop offering a great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. Then, you will head to Boudhanath which is a serene dome-shaped stupa in the middle of a crowded city. Next up is Pashupatinath, one of the biggest Hindu temples with utmost holy importance. The day ends with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The next day, you will head to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. The durbar squares were royal palaces when the Malla Kings ruled Kathmandu Valley. They are architectural masterpieces. On the fourth day, you wake early for a great sunrise view from Nagarkot. On a clear day, you can see distant mountains in Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, and Everest Himalayan Ranges. The sunrise view is a nice way to end your tour as you will head back to Kathmandu afterward and leave for home the next day. The tour is available all years around. Monsoon seasons might affect visibility from Nagarkot and affect the overall enjoyment of the tour. But, this tour can be taken year round by the whole family.
We, at Miteri Nepal, have been organizing tours in Kathmandu for the last 15 years. Our experienced tour guides will brief you completely during the tour and ensure you have a pleasant tour.
