Background
Journeying to the Himalayas is often a long and arduous affair even more so if it involves base camp of any kind. While the sights at the end will be the ones you have never seen before; the rugged Himalayan trails do little to make the trail easier even more so if you are setting off on a long journey. The Annapurna Short trek takes you to the base camp of not one but two different Himalayas namely Machhapuchhre (6,993m) and Annapurna I (8,091m) within eight days for a unique adventure. And even though the difficulty of the trek isn’t the one to be overly concerned with, this journey does minimize it to a certain extent and all you are served is a heart full of Himalayan goodness. One of the most amazing short treks throughout the Himalayas especially one that leads to the base camps the Annapurna Short Trek takes us to the coveted Annapurna region. This short trek will provide you ample time to reflect on the quiet Himalayas and upon yourself as well.

Our Annapurna short tour begins with a lovely flight to the stunning Pokhara valley. High above the valleys the flight gives us our first glimpse of the Himalayas before touching down at Pokhara. A scenic drive to Kilue follows before we begin the trail heading towards Chomrong for our first night on the go. Heading past the vibrant Gurung hamlets of Sinuwa, Bamboo, and Dovan, the trail arrives at the Himalayas adorned with stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Annapurna South (7,219m) and Hiunchuli (6,441m). We shall even explore the Hinku cave along the way to comprehend the beautiful nature of the Annapurna region. Past Himalaya, the trail takes on an ascending run heading past glacial moraines and reaching the Machhapuchhre Base Camp before the Annapurna Base Camp itself. Enjoying the stunning Himalayan panorama as seen from the base camp, we begin our descending journey by heading back to Sinuwa before once again reaching Kilue. Retracing our steps back to Pokhara, we drive back to Kathmandu and thus, end our journey.

We here at Miteri Nepal love traveling as much as you do.
