Background
The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho via Mesokanto La Pass is a popular trip traversing through the Annapurna Region of Nepal. The scenic trail has many fascinating landmarks passing through ethnic villages and beautiful natural landscapes. This trek takes you to the spectacular Tilicho Lake and the lesser-explored Mesokanto La Pass (5467m). The trek ends with the stunning sunrise view over the Annapurna Range from Poonhill and a short stop at the charming Gurung village of Ghandruk.
Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho via Mesokanto La Pass is a 16-day adventure and it begins with your arrival in Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you will drive to Chamje, the first destination on this trip. Crossing multiple suspension bridges over the Marsayangdi River, you walk through small settlements to Dharapani. Going through the settlements of Bagarchhap, Danakyu, and Chame, you arrive at Pisang. Taking the trail through yak pastures approaching several monasteries, you enter Manang. From Manang, you ascend the thrilling slopes up to Tilicho Base Camp. From the base camp, you head to Tilicho Lake the next day and enjoy the amazing view of surrounding mountains. Later on, the day, going through glacial moraines with a stunning view of peaks of Tilicho (7,134m), Nilgiri (7,061m), and Khangsar (7,485m) you head towards the Tilicho High Camp. From the high camp, you head to Chauri Kharka via Mesokanto La Pass (5467m). Next, you head to Jomsom and follow the Kali Gandaki River to Tatopani. Here, you can relax at the natural hot springs that revitalizes your mind and body. Passing lush greenery and crossing Sikha, you reach the Ghorepani. Here, you take a short hike to Poonhill for an early sunrise view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Descending to Tadapani you make your way to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. From here, you trek to Syane and then to Pokhara. The trip comes to an end as you make your way from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

DAY 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, you will be received by our company representatives. You will then be taken to your respective hotel. Once you are settled in, you will meet your guide for the trip. Later, you are free to do as you please as there is nothing else scheduled for today.

DAY 2:Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje (1,430m)
Leaving Kathmandu, your trek starts with a drive to Chamje. Taking the drive to Chamje you can see the distant mountains getting closer. Passing terraced fields and local settlements, you arrive at Chamje. You can visit the waterfall at Chamje once you reach there. The latter parts on the drive go along the Marsayangdi River with sublime views of the Lamjung Himal ranges.

DAY 3:Chamje to Dharapani (1,860m) walking
The day begins early in the morning. You cross the first of many suspension bridges over the Marsayangdi River. Walking along the river, you pass the gate of the village of Tal. On your side, the blue river flows calmly. Traveling across bamboo and terrace fields, you walk uphill and arrive at Dharapani.

DAY 4:Dharapani to Chame (2,670m) walking
The trail begins passing a Chorten by the entrance of a stone wall. Passing the settlements of Bagarchhap and Danakyu, the path inclines steeply going through a forest. Passing other small settlements along the way, you come across a large Mani wall embellished with prayer wheels. And as you approach Chame, the fine view of the beautiful Annapurna II (7,937m) welcomes you.

DAY 5:Chame to Pisang (3,300m) walking
Leaving the village of Chame, the trail begins with a few steep steps before going over a suspended bridge. You will walk close to Marsayangdi River, narrow valleys, deep gorges, and green meadows and reach Dhikur Pokhari. Walking further passing two wooden bridges, it is a short walk to Pisang. In Pisang, you can also hike to Upper Pisang for a great view of Annapurna II (7937m) and Pisang Peak (6091m).

DAY 6:Pisang to Manang (3,540m)
Waking up early, you will hike up to Upper Pisang for a sunrise view. This also helps you acclimatize to the changing altitude. The upper and lower Pisang are separated by the Marsayangdi River. After the sunrise view, you walk through grasslands passing numerous monasteries. Walking further from Humde, you go through yak pastures, shrines, and cave dwellings before finally arriving at Manang.

DAY 7:Rest day in Manang for acclimatization and exploration
You have a day to acclimatize and explore around Manang. You can visit the coffee shops and internet cafes here. There are also plenty of shops owned by Tibetans and Nepali Buddhists. You can hike up to the Praban Gompa which is set on the hillside at 3900 m. Or, you can wander about exploring the beautiful natural landscapes.

DAY 8:Manang to Tilicho Base Camp (4,150m) walking
Leaving Manang, you continue walking along the Marsayangdi valley going through a pine forest. Walking past the village of Khangsar, you begin the ascent to the base camp. The path leads to a steep step which will be the most difficult part of the trek. The trail is secluded and gives you a nice view of Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna II (7,937m), and Gangapurna (7,454m). Continuing the ascent you arrive at the Tilicho Base Camp.

DAY 9:Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho High Camp (5,240m) walking
Today, you continue climbing towards Tilicho Lake, the highest lake in the world. You go through glacial moraines with a stunning view of Tilicho (7,134m), Nilgiri (7,061m), and Khangsar (7,485m) Peak. Upon reaching the lake, you will witness its heavenly beauty and its glorious ambiance. After spending some time there, you head towards the Tilicho High Camp to spend the night.

DAY 10:Tilicho High Camp to Chauri Kharka (4,300m) via Mesokanto-La pass (5,467m) walking
This route is not taken often by many travelers and remains quite unexplored. Passing through the Mesokanto La Pass (5467m) is difficult and very demanding. The stunning view of the Tilicho Peak (7134m) and vividly pleasing wilderness make this part of the trail amazing. It will take around 4 hours to cross the pass alone, and after crossing it you will be in Manang District. The trek is long and hard, and you will feel it by the end of the day.

DAY 11:Tatopani to Sikha (1,935m) walking
After having a good breakfast, you walk through the trail reaching a dusty road. Walking ahead, you pass lush green forests with the view of the lush hills around you. You will cross many small bridges and small settlements and reach Sikha noticing the simple lifestyle in the beautiful Himalayan region.

DAY 12:Jomsom to Tatopani (Hot spring) (1189m) driving
Leaving the bustling hub of Jomsom, we head to the hot spring of Tatopani following Kali Gandaki River. The natural hot springs of Tatopani is believed to heal your body. It will be a good relaxation for the mind and body after the many days of trekking. You can also take a beer with you while you take a warm dip in the soothing hot springs.

DAY 13:Sikha to Ghorepani (2,835m) walking
Today, the trek from Sikha to Ghorepani is fairly easy. You will walk past the lush forest of rhododendron en route and cross many small Gurung settlements. The trail goes through gradual ascents taking you to the settlement of Ghorepani. With glimpses of the mountains that will accompany you throughout the trail along with the lush green hills, you will reach the Gurung village of Ghorepani.

DAY 14:Sikha to Poon Hill for Sunrise (3,210m) to Tadapani (2,510m) Walking
You will head out early in the morning to view the panoramic view of the mountains over the sunrise. It is a short hike to Poonhill from Ghorepani. Poonhill provides an amazing view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range whilst the sun gently rises from behind the mountains. Other mountains that accommodate the skyline are Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m), Lamjung Himal (6983m), and Nilgiri (7061m). After spending a fair amount of time there enjoying the view, you descend to Ghorepani for breakfast before descending further towards Tadapani.

DAY 15:Tadapani to Syane via Ghandruk (1,920m) walking
The trail to Ghandruk is filled with lush natural vegetation along with plenty of small tea houses. Ghandruk is a beautiful ethnic Gurung village that sits gently amongst the hills. The village of Ghandruk has a splendid view of the mountains of Annapurna (8,091m) and Machhapuchhre (6,997m), while the village itself is very peaceful with small houses and stone-paved streets. Spending some time exploring around Ghandruk you make your way towards Syane.

DAY 16:Syane to Pokhara
You will walk from Syane to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara check in the hotel ,Take rest and roam around .Overnight at hotel in Pokhra .

Day 17:Pokhara-Kathmandu
From Pokhara, you take the tourist bus or private transport back towards the city of Kathmandu. Along the way, you are accompanied by the Trishuli River and small local settlements scattered throughout the highway. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel

DAY 18:Transfer to airport for your final departure from Nepal
You will be taken to the airport at the scheduled time for your flight. We bid you farewell from the land of the Himalayas where you are always welcome for another visit.
