This tour includes three biggest ancient cities of Tibet. They are Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse. By visiting these places, you will get an overview of Tibet’s religion, cultural treasures, and dream-like landscapes. The highlights of this tour will be the Tibetan architectural treasure, the Potala Palace, Jokhang and Sera, Holy Yamdrok Lake and Karo glacier as well as Tashilumpo Monastery which stores the biggest copper Buddha statue in the world. Beside that, you will get chance to explore world highest peak Mount Everest from base camp.

Day 1: Kathmandu- Lhasa(3,600m) (B)
On arrival at Lhasa ,our representative the local tour guide will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Acclimatize the high altitude in the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa on BB Plan .

Day 2: Lhasa Sightseeing Potala Palace (B)
Our day began with visit of Famous UNESCO World Heritage site Potala Palace. This palace is the winter palace of Dalai Lama. It’s situated at 12,139 feet above sea level. It’s a 13-story high building that contains over 1,000 rooms, various statues, stupas, murals and artifacts. Later we will continue to Jokhang Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a spiritual center for Buddhists in Tibet. Next to the temple there is Bakhor Street, filled with pilgrims and street vendors, selling traditional Tibetan items such as prayer wheels and jewelry. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa on BB Plan .

Day 3: Sightseeing of Drepung and Sera Monasteries. (B)
In the morning, you will visit Drepung monastery which was one of the “three greet” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1416. Ganden palace is used as Dalai Lama’s palace in the Drepung before moving to the Potala palace. Later in the afternoon we will go to visit Sera Monastery.It was one of the “three great” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1419. The highlight is the Monks debate at around 3 – 5 in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa on BB Plan .

Day 4: Lhasa – Gyantse – Shigatse (B)
Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse. Admire the Gampala pass (4790 m) on the way, and get a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m), which is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains. After that continue to drive west, towards Gyantse. In Gyantse, you will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum. After 1:30 hour’s drive, you will arrive in Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet. Overnight at hotel in Shigatse on BB Plan .

Day 5: Shigatse (3900m) to Everest Base Camp(5200) (B)
Today you will explore Tashilunpo monastery of Gelug Sect, the seat of the Panchen Lama, built in 1447. The monastery houses a giant statue of the Maitreya Buddha , the biggest gilded statue of Maitreya (Buddha of the future) in the world and a tomb of all the Panchen Lama, containing jewels and gold. In the afternoon, you will drive to Everest Base camp
After that, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer to gaze at the Mt. Everest peak. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permits at the lodging area.
Stay overnight at tent or Rongbuk monastery guest house.

Day 6: EBC (5200m) and return to Shigatse (3900m) (B)
In the morning, you can see the sunrise of Everest Peak if weather permits at the lodging area. Then we will visit the Rongbu Monastery – the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together. Finally, we will drive back to Shigatse.
Stay overnight in Shigatse.

Day 7: Shigatse (3900m) to Lhasa (3650m)350km(B)
Today, we will drive back to Lhasa by following Yalong Valley. You can stand on the viewing platform and view the vast Yalong River bed. Finally the guide will transfer you back to your hotels in Lhasa.

Day 8: Depart from Lhasa(B)
The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board.
